A bit more than a month ago, I posted a little something on the reorganization in Nokia Research Center where I work and announced my availability on the job market. This was a bit of a shock of course and it has been a hectic few weeks but the end result is really nice. For me at least. Unfortunately some of my colleagues are not so lucky and are now at risk of losing their job.
Two years ago, I started using OSGI, the popular Java dependency injecting component standard, for an internal project. Fast forward to now and I have a nice set of bundles that depend on, amongst other the OSGI HTTP service.
My employer, Nokia, announced this week that it is reorganizing Nokia Research Center. The why and how of this operation is explained in the press release.

JSR-315 has produced a Public Review of the servlet 3.0 spec, which unfortunately has become a Frankenstein monster, cobbled together from eviscerated good ideas and misguided best intentions. The EG is desperately in need of community feedback and probably another round of Public Review after a beta RI is made available.
