Decentralized, just like twitter - but on the community level

We're about to see an explosion of web services and almost every day there are new, even more clever ones. I've been experimenting a lot recently, MyBlogLog, whoisi, popego, netvibes, soup.io, ...
They all have in common that they are individual centered despite of the fact that you can use a bunch of them for communities (that means wikis) just as well. MyBlogLog works fine (thus OurWikiLog), whoisi (thus 'who are they?'), soup.io.
To my feeling there is currently an 'overestimation of the individual' going on. Likely this is the rattle adumbrating the real explosion - the one on the collaborative, on the wiki side.

So I was thinking about a wiki-net. A community shows a face, just like bloggers show their blogs. Who helps here? - it tells who currently makes part of the wiki. The wiki-idea tells about the idea behind the wiki. The community can change the idea, it's a wiki. Events, hints we're given ... They all put out specific feeds that other wikis can include. Communities informing each other about each other is the idea. The communites decide about what they show to the 'piped public' and they decide which other communities to watch. Decentralized, just like twitter - but on the community level.

Anyhow, I started 'ning: wiki-net' today experimenting on. It's not the first experiment and won't be the last one, I guess.

Hello everybody. Thanks for taking a look. Comments, questions and such are welcome here or on 'wiki-net': talk.
